Las Vegas Golf Club is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Las Vegas Golf Club first opened for play in 1938. The course was designed by William P. Bell.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,631 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,715 yards.
#1 is a drivable, 311-yard par 4 with three bunkers long and right of the green.
#2 is reachable par five playing to 503-yards. Some trees guard the turn, but the fairway is wide while the green is guarded by a single bunker left.
#3, a 98-yard par 3 is the course's shortest hole, but it demands a solid wedge shot. The kidney-shaped green is fronted by a pond and backed by four bunkers.
Four short par 5's -- between 458 and 503 yards -- give everyone a chance to score.
#9, a 458-yard par-5 plays to a narrow green well bunkered in front, but a big drive can set up a realistic eagle chance.
#13 is a dogleg-left, 461-yard, par-5 that plays to a broad fairway and then to a green sandwiched between a pair of bunkers.
#15, a 460-yard, par-5 plays straightaway to an unprotected green.
Of the nine par-4s, six play less than 380 yards, and three measure more than 400 yards. The longest, and No. 1 handicap hole, is the 438-yard, dogleg-left eighth hole. A few pine trees stand along the fairway, which is otherwise naked and inviting, as is the bunkerless green.
Two other par 3's will keep players honest. #6 plays to 189 yards, with two large bunkers in front. #17 measures 211 yards, with two prominent front bunkers guarding the somewhat small green.

This is a muni course, but for $39 was a bargain. It is nowhere near as lush as the fine courses in Vegas, but was very pleasant nonetheless. A nice aftrenoon of golf. Low handicappers will not be challenged by this course. High handicappers will enjoy it as one does not struggle. As one would expect, the course was crowded late on Friday afternoon and pace of play was very slow, but it just did not seem to matter as there was no drive to get value out of a high priced course. The fairways and greens were in remarkably good shape for a course that appears to get lots of play. I would not hessitate to play it again. It was nice to play soemthing in Vegas that did not bust three bills.

For the price the course was not in good shape. The course was nice i would play if the fairways and greens were in better shape.

The pace of play is terrible. They try to put foursomes out every 8 minutes. This does not work for the caliber of player that plays here. Also, there is nobody on the course to move people along so a group that plays slow makes it even worse. I haven't played this course in over 10 years because of this same problem and will never want to play here again.
